Delegations:

  • S/Sgt. Steve Hurst attended the meeting to provide information about staffing and mentioned that the next quarterly report will be received by the end of the month. He also discussed that he would like communication between the District and the RCMP to ensure all needs are met.  He also encouraged people to report crimes because the RCMP keeps track of the stats.
  • Dennis Richardson made a presentation to Council on communication between the District and the public. Informed residents will likely participate more if they are informed of policies, changes, bylaws, etc.  He provided examples of where there was no communication and wants Council to provide information to the public in a timelier manner.
