										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p data-start="3668" data-end="4142">The District of Lakeland No. 521 Council met on <strong data-start="3716" data-end="3747">Wednesday, January 14, 2026</strong>, at the Municipal Office in Christopher Lake. The meeting included a public hearing regarding a municipal walkway relocation, approval of special levy bylaws for fire protection and street lighting, first readings for a road closure bylaw and a fireworks bylaw, staffing and benefit decisions, committee appointments, and the approval of upcoming meeting date changes and conference attendance. Please note that the February meeting date was moved to <strong>Monday, February 9th, 2026</strong>. <strong>Please note that the municipality has received notification that the fire levy will increase from $100 to $150 in 2026. </strong></p>
