We have now completed the review of the Management Actions list from the District Environmental Management Plan. Terry Neefs will forward the draft to EAC and Council when he has it completed. Terry Neefs, Karee Davidson and I attended the U of S School of Environment and Sustainability Open House on Tuesday, November 7th, 2017.
It was an interesting presentation and we heard from Irena Creed (Executive Director and Professor) , former students, Associate Professors etc. on the services they can provide. We were told about various classes they offer to students who are interested in finishing a Degree in the areas of study. They are always interested in partnerships to provide a practical experience for their students. Professor Kricsfalusy told our EAC Members that they had an excellent experience when they partnered with The District of Lakeland. They are encouraging us to come up with another project that they can work on with us.
Vladimir Kricsfalusy (Associate Professor) will forward his power point presentation to me. I will then forward this power point presentation to Council and to EAC. Professor Kricsfalusy also mentioned that the College is more than happy to come out and speak to Council and our Environmental Committee on water quality or other areas of interest or concern.
